The number you should call is (888) 210-5235 and press 5 for Sales and Marketing. If you have an existing policy that you need help servicing, contact our customer service department either by phone which is (888) 210-5235 and press 4 or email Homeowners Choice @ Customerservice@hcpci.com.top

I have policies with HomeWise / First Home what do we do?

You do not have to do anything. Homeowners Choice will begin servicing HomeWise and First Home as of 11/01/2011. We will begin renewing policies onto Homeowners Choice paper effective 01/01/2012.top

I have a contract with HomeWise/First Home what do I need to do to get one with you?

We are currently in the process of finalizing and distributing Homeowners Choice’s Limited Producer Agreement to the agencies that do not currently represent Homeowners Choice. We intend to have your new agreement to you within the next week.top

Where do I send the signed documents and how long does the appointment process take?

When you receive your agreement package there will be instructions that give you all the details on what to include and where to return the information. Please expect to receive your new contract from us in the new couple of weeks.top

Who handles agency or customer service inquiries?

Homeowners Choice has a fully experienced Customer Service Team in place to expertly handle any service you need. Homeowners Choice will begin servicing your HomeWise or First Home policies on 11/01/2011. Homeowners Choice has just been awarded a Financial Stability Rating of “A” Exceptional by Demotech, Inc., a leading actuarial and financial analysis firm.top

How do I go about writing new policies with HOMEOWNERS CHOICE now?

Homeowners Choice currently requests that you email a current Dec Page to newbiz@hcpci.com along with any Wind Mitigation and/or Alarm Credit forms to obtain a quote. We will return a quote to you within 24-36 hours along with our application. To bind the policy you would then complete the application and return for our approval. top

Am I going to be able to write new policies with HOMEOWNERS CHOICE and when?

If you currently have a Homeowners Choice contract you may begin submitting Dec Pages for quotes immediately. If you are new to HOMEOWNERS CHOICE, we will need you to return your signed Agreement first, so we can activate your agency set up within the HOMEOWNERS CHOICE system. Once HOMEOWNERS CHOICE has your agency set up, HOMEOWNERS CHOICE will notify you and at that time you can begin to send quote requests.top

Where do I tell the mortgage companies to send payments?

All payments should be mailed to Homeowners Choice at
P.O. Box 23177, Tampa, FL 33623.top

What is my log on information?

If you need your agency's log on information for Homeowners Choice please email agencysupport@hcpci.com to request your log on User ID and password. top

Are premiums going to remain the same?

At that time your customers will receive a renewal offer from Homeowners Choice, the premiums for HomeWise and First Home policies will remain the same, if the policy is not changed by endorsement prior to renewal.top

Is HOMEOWNERS CHOICE homeowner product priced competitively?

Yes, we believe you will find Homeowners Choice's pricing to be competitive.top

How is the assumption process going to work?

Homeowners Choice will automatically move data into our system to provide seamless service to you and your HomeWise and First Home clients. This will be effective 11/01/2011. Renewal notices should begin going out around 11/16/2011 for the 01/01/2012 renewals. On 01/01/2012 Homeowners Choice will begin issuing renewals to the HomeWise and First Home policyholders.top

Are you going to take all the policies?

Yes, Homeowners Choice plans to take all of these policies.top

Do I get your new commissions starting immediately or as the policies renew?

You will begin to receive Commissions from Homeowners Choice once a payment is received on a policy. Homeowners Choice pays commissions as did HomeWise and First Home when the payment is received.

As a HOMEOWNERS CHOICE appointed agency, HOMEOWNERS CHOICE will pay you commissions, See your producer package for further details.top

For new business, do you require any of the current wind mitigation forms or inspections, etc.?

Homeowners Choice is not asking for any additional information initially but reserves the right to ask for any information that is not available from the HomeWise or First Home files we acquire.top

Who is responsible for claims handling?

Claims that occurred on or before 10/31/2011 will continue to be handled by HomeWise. Claims on or after 11/01/2011 will be handled by Homeowners Choice.top

Who will handle claims with date of loss prior to 11/01/2011?

All claims with a date of loss prior to 11/01/2011 will be routed to either Blue Cod (HomeWise) or Seibel Bruce (First Home).top

Where should insureds who suffer a loss after 11/01/2011 send their claims?

All Homeowners Choice, HomeWise and First Home policyholders who suffer a loss on or after 11/01/2011 should contact Homeowners Choice at (866) 324-3138 or Fax (813) 443-0830.top
